This is the Cosmo Celebratory Sashiko Cloth “Kotobuki” – a stunning, large-format fabric panel featuring an auspicious design by renowned sashiko artist chiebaa. The word “Kotobuki” means “celebration” or “congratulations,” making this the perfect project for a special occasion or as a meaningful gift.
The generous 60x108cm panel is pre-printed with a hand-drawn design that combines traditional motifs like the crane and turtle (symbolising longevity and health), the sea bream (symbolising good fortune), and the Seven Lucky Gods. The design also features corner tassels that traditionally ward off evil spirits – instructions for making them are included.
