A useful pair of Japanese sashiko needles from Olympus, specially designed for traditional sashiko stitching.

The pack contains two different needle lengths, giving you the flexibility to choose the needle that best suits your project and stitching technique. The longer needle is particularly useful for traditional sashiko running stitch, where several stitches are loaded onto the needle before the thread is pulled through.

Which needle to use? The shorter needle is suited to fine patterns such as Hitomezashi and Kugurizashi, while the longer needle is suited to traditional sashiko where you load several stitches onto the needle.

Olympus sashiko needles have a sharp point designed to pass cleanly through fabric and a generously sized eye suitable for sashiko thread.
